Sensitivity to disposable diapers?
| Mon, 10-18-2004 - 11:13pm |
Hi all!
My son is 7 months old and I think that he has a sensitivity to disposable diapers. He keeps getting these really bad diaper rashes and they have started to spread over his body. We've been to the doctor many times and they can't figure it out and I really think it's the diapers. I recently switched him to a "natural" brand of disposables that claim to be perfume and dye free but it doesn't seem to help. Has anyone else had to deal with this kind of thing? Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm thinking of switching to cloth, do you think that would help?
Thanks for any help anyone can give me, I'm at my wits end trying to figure this thing out!

I think cloth diapers are great! I used them for both of my children. I found them very easy to manage. Especially the new kind. You buy a few outer cloth diapers that have velcro sides then cloth liners for the inside. I never had problems or leaks. They were super absorbent. I bought mine at baby's r us and beleive they saved us a ton of money.
I hope you can find something that works for you.

The best part for me, I think, is that I didn't have to go buy all new stuff for my second child. I just bought a few new covers and that's that!
