Shopped till we DROPPED!!

It's a jungle out there!! Now I see why I did most of my Christmas shopping on-line!

But we had a fun day. Michael took the day off, and we shopped without the kids all morning (my sister watched the girls, and let me just tell you, I was HOLDING MY BREATH when we dropped them off, because that brand new truck was right inside her garage! It's been all I can do to keep my mouth shut!). Justin and Matthew were at school. So we actually had the morning to ourselves to enjoy each others' company without kids, and get any last-minute stocking stuffers, gifts, etc. that we hadn't gotten for the kids yet. I think they have enough presents now, not to mention what they're going to get from my family and my ILs! Then this afternoon after Justin got home, we picked up the girls and took my sister and her DS and DD to lunch at Applebee's to thank her for watching Jenna and Tessa, and then we shopped for our nieces and nephews with Justin and the girls until Matthew came home on the bus.

I feel pretty shopped out. I think we've covered everything. The only person I don't have a gift for yet is one of my teenage nephews on Michael's side.

It was fun hanging out alone with Michael, but there are just SO MANY PEOPLE, it *is* exhausting after a while: the traffic, trying to find parking spaces, waiting in check-out lines, waiting forever to be helped (we waited 15 minutes at Target for someone to help us). Michael *hates* shopping (except at home improvement stores, where he could spend hours), so he was a real trooper as I dragged him from store to store. And he was the one driving and dealing with the traffic, too. But it was actually a fun day, and I'm feeling VERY PRODUCTIVE.

Now if the Gift Wrapping Fairy would just stop by and wrap all our gifts for me, I'd be all set.

Hope everyone had a good day.

LOL I would rather shop than wrap gifts any day! Sounds like a nice day out with D H.

Glad you had fun shopping! Dh and I do that over the course of several Saturdays before Christmas. He hates to shop ordinarily, but LOVES to Christmas shop. We got 3 good shops in this year, slightly less than usual. And Dh has been wrapping presents while I'm at work! Thank goodness. I don't know why I hate doing that so much.

LOL! OK, I'm sending you a plane ticket!!

J/K. . . But it would be fun! I'd have some good drinks mixed for you, and I'd pay you well. You can bring Walker, and he can play with my kids :)

Somehow, Nasa, I never quite envisioned you as the Gift Wrap Fairy ;)

I'd do almost ANYTHING to get out of gift wrapping. I'm a patch-and-tape kind of gal. Can't wrap a decent gift to save my life. . . I'm hoping to be able to pass most of it off onto Michael, but he's not much better than I am!
