I am a stay at home mom and absolutely love it!!! I just wish there was something on the side I could do for some extra spending money (I love to shop :)) I have seen those deals where you take surveys for money, does anyone here do those? And does anyone have any side jobs that they do that allows for them to still stay home full time? Just curious..thanks!!

I used to be a recruiter for a temp agency and we got contracts for "secret shoppers" for different companies. You could check with your local temp agencies to find out who has those contracts. I actually did one of the jobs myself and it was fun. Usually what happens is they give you instructions on what they need you to do, such as:

-When you enter the store make note of how you are greeted, if you are greeted.
-Make sure to browse for a certain amount of time (no problem for me ;-)) to see if an associate offers you any assistance.
-What are the associates doing while you are shopping - are they keeping busy, or are they in groups socializing amongst themselves.
-They may want you to try some things on and ask for assistance to see how the associates react.
-You will need to make a purchase and evaluate the associates customer service skills.
-Then you will generally need to come back in a few hours and make a return and evaluate the customer service you receive in regards to your return.

I had a lot of fun doing it, it doesn't pay a ton, but if you are already out there browsing anyway - why not get paid for it, right? And they don't care if you bring your children with you - makes you even more of a "secret shopper". :-)

Then you just have to return the paperwork to the temp agency within a certain amount of time.

I know this was lengthy - but wanted to make sure you knew what it was - and that I had actually done it myself - because so many of these that you read and see on TV are scams.
