My 2 sons have been sleeping back and forth in each others' rooms all through Christmas Break. They call it "A Sleep Over" LOL! Tonight is a school night. They go back to school tomorrow (yay!). They both had crying fits because they couldn't have a "Sleep Over" with each other tonight (being a school night, we wanted them asleep early. No giggling, talking or flashlight games).
Ya know, I'm thinking to myself: When I was little, I shared a room with MY 3 SISTERS!! Yes, ALL 3 OF THEM! I was desperate for my own room and my own space all through my growing up years. Here my boys have their own room, and they want to double up! I would move them back in together, and make an extra guest room or something, but they really do sleep better alone. I just think it's kind of funny and ironic that they want to be together so bad, especially after how much they've been fighting lately (I guess they really do love each other after all! That's good to know! LOL!). It's also strange for me after I would have given practically everything I owned for my own room as a kid!
Hmm. . .

Thats so sweet Sofia! My ds said he wanted to sleep in sissy's bed. Thats not going to happen b/c they would stay up all night, either laughing or fighting!

That is so cute..
I was a spolied only child until I was nearly 10. Then my parents had the nerve to have a baby! All my little girlfriends wanted to do was come over so they could play with my adorable little brother - like a living baby doll. I was really annoyed, to say the least.
Becasue we were so far apart, my brother and I never competed for or shared anything - no need to. It was almost like we were two only children. Of course I love him to death and I am so glad he is around. We are very close. I wonder if that would be different if we were only 3 or 4 years apart . . .
It's so great that they want to do that! It's something my girls would do. I'd love to pair them up into a room, but they have so much stuff it would never all fit. I'd still have to have 2 bedrooms for all their toys, lol.

I was thinking about my kids fighting, and my sister reminded me that me and my sisters all fought like it was going out of style when we were growing up, and we're very close now. I don't know what I'd do without my sisters! One of them (the oldest) is 2 years older than I am, and Maria, who is my best girlfriend in all the world, is only 18 months younger than I am. I had a brother 4 years younger, and I used to kill him until he got big enough to physically hurt me back, and then my youngest sister is a whole 7 years younger than I am. I remember beating the crap out of all 3 of my younger siblings, LOL!
My DH told me he and his brother used to actually draw blood on each other, and they're buddies now! LOL!
I guess the fighting is normal, and underneath there is a lot of love. It just drives me crazy to listen to it in a confined space.
