Slight misunderstanding

The other day Kyle & Natalie had to run some errands, and ended up having to go to several stores, were gone for hours, and had several headaches to deal with in the process.
The next day we were taking Kyle to work, and Natalie said (or so I heard) "MOM, you wouldn't believe the HE#* we went through yesterday!!!" I looked back in astonishment and said "WHAT did you just say young lady?!? You do NOT say that!" At which point she proceeds to tell me how the car was going up and down the "hill" and it was like a roller coaster. I looked at Kyle and started laughing... He said "well we went through THAT too!"

It's so hard to keep a straight face, sometimes, with the things that come out of their mouths! We don't curse (cept for under our breaths sometimes, LOL) but they can't help but hear it on TV, or the bus, or somewhere. We figure if you just tell them it's not appropriate to say and then don't make a big deal about it, they'll stop saying it, and they do. The challenge is to not laugh your butt off when they say it! Ds loves Shreck (not the most appropriate cartoon for a 5 year old, I realize) and there's a line where donkey says 'parfaits are the best food on the whole da** planet', at least I think that's how it goes. Ds once told me my cookies were the best cookies on 'the whole da** planet'!!! He was 4 at the time!! It was hysterical but I knew I shouldn't laugh so I had to turn around real quick to hide my face until I gained composure. Now everytime he watches Shreck he remembers that and makes a comment how donkey shouldn't say that. Too funny!
