So tired . . . . always tired!

I know that I'm six months along now, and I'm nearing the start of trimester #3, but I don't remember being this tired with Noah. I feel like I can't get enough sleep no matter how much I sleep. I have a bit of insomnia at night. In fact, before midnight I cannot fall asleep no matter what I do. But when midnight hits, I'm out like a light. But even after seven or eight (or sometimes even nine) hours of sleep, I still wake up groggy, tired. I feel like all I want to do is sleep. I've even taken a few naps after Noah goes down for his nap because I'm so tired that I can barely keep my eyes open. And trust me, I'm not overexerting myself. I do a lot of cleaning and such but that's about all the exertion I get. What's worse is that I plan all of my errands and to-dos for the afternoon so that I don't have to do anything in the morning. Is this normal, or is something wrong with me?
Just needing to get this off my chest. Thanks for listening!

Remember that every pregnancy is different... when I was pg with my oldest dd, between bedtime and naps, I literally slept 15 hours a day. Just remember to eat healthy, avoid sugar, and try to find ways to relax so you can gradually start going to bed earlier every night. I've found that the earlier before midnight that I can get to sleep, the more rested I feel the next day. You might need to try to cut out the naps for a couple of days to help you go to bed earlier.
hang in there :o)
Of course there is nothing wrong with your! You have a WHOLE PERSON growing in you, and you are taking care of Noah. Remember, every pregnancy is different. Don't be too hard on yourself. Try to enjoy your last trimester, easier said than done, lol.

Are you eating enough protein?
i noticed little NOah, is still pretty young, so i am assuming that it is tiring for you just to take care of him. I could not fathom being pregnant when my dd, was that young, i would have commited hari kary. I breastfed so i did not have a menses for the first year, so it would have been impossible to become pregnant, so soon. It gave me a chance to recover from the first pregnancy. I feel much more capable of getting pregnant now, since my dd, is three. Also, she will be in pre-school come fall next year, so i will deff. have more time to devote to another child. My experience was that i felt weighted down towards that part of the pregnancy the last time, i was a bit down, on some days. Not tired per say, but, down, and feeling kind of like vegging.
Anyway, i would def. check your glucose level though, see what that is. It is probably nearing the glucose tolerance test time also. Ohterwise if i were to guess i would say, you tired because you have such a small child to take care of also. It is a lot of work.
take care arie
if you can use the sitter more, to sleep.

(((Tarra))) I remember that!! I remember being AMAZED at how much I could sleep when I was pregnant. I am normally not a good sleeper, but when I was pregnant, up until my last trimester when I couldn't get comfortable, I could literally sleep all day every day. Sleep consumed me and absorbed me, especially in the first trimester. Sometimes it was the only time I felt OK, was when I was asleep (I was not a great pregnant person, LOL!). Some people say they feel great and had a lot of energy when pregnant. NOT ME!! I was totally enervated and wasted. Sometimes just showering took all the effort I had.
Hang in there! What you're going through is so normal. And it just makes it worse to have another little one to chase, I know! Before long, your new little one will be here and in your arms, and you'll be feeling back to your old energetic self.
