Middle DD just started Kind a month ago. Her sister (4) will be going next year. 5 people have already asked me, "Well what are you going to do when they're all in school?" As if I sit around all day! I am proud of the fact that my older DS (10) will be in the Talented/Gifted program at his school this year and that my middle DD was picked to start an early kindergarten reading program this year. We live in a small town, so I guess nobody else has anything better to talk about. I didn't grow up here and we have no extended family support, so that is why we chose for me to stay home. The last 6 yrs have gone so fast since I have been a SAHM! I was in the health profession and am currently keeping up my license to someday get back in the workforce, but some people obviously are more interested in me going back than I am. I love being home and picking them up after school and chaparoning youngest DD on her preschool field trips-I think a lot of people are just jealous or they just don't "get it". Ann

I know what you mean. As if there's nothing to do all day but sit around and watch soaps. Mine are still young (both under 2) and we'll be homeschooling, but still- I know alot of women who do volunteer work and/or help out at the schools, etc. while their kids are in classes. It's not as if one has to be getting paid in order to be 'doing something' ;)
