Hi ladies! I have been a SAHM since June(ish) last year. Do to our financial situation I need to find a job. I find a 16 hour/week job as a Dietary Aide at a nursing home. But it's only $6/hour. I don't start until after the 4th of July (already done Orientation), just keep thinking it's NOT what I want to do. Enough to pay for babysitter, tank of gas, and spending money. This job won't help out with the bills and etc. which is the point of me going to work. Bringing to my point...

I love kids (my favorite age group is 3 and under). I've had the idea of having an in-home daycare. I need to make a few changes inside and put up a fence outside but we were going to do this stuff anyways. We have a huge yard, am in a kid friendly area near (not too close) to town. I would like to be a versitale (sp?) watching kids overnite if need be and after school. I've looked into watch it takes to be lincesed (sp?). Anyways I think you get the point. Any ideas and/or advice to be greatly appreciated!!

Hi, I teach preschool out of my home during the school year. I find it very rewarding, and I like to bring in a little money for my family. I teach 3 years old and up and sometimes "gifted and talented" 2 year olds.

I have a preschool room in my home and would recommend that if you can, you decorate like a kindergarten classroom. Parents love it, and It is great to teach a class at home. We operate like a regular preschool and kids come at 9:00 and leave at 12:30, which is great for me and my family since I also homeschool my 7 year old. I like the extra time and never have to rush doing housework and dinner.

I am a former preschool Teacher so when you get set up let me know, I have a ton of links to preschool sites, that I would not mind sharing. As well as lots of ideas that I make up myself. I have a great song to teach basic body parts in spanish.

I would highly reccomend that you have contracts for parents to sign.

An inexpensive decorating tip is to buy robe hangers in the home section at walmart for 1.96 each. I hang these up as the childrens pegs to hang there backpacks on. I also have a cork board above it that I use as a message board. You can buy cute inexpensive name tags to stick to wall over childrens pegs so that they know where their stuff goes.
