Last year, I bought a jean jumper from a catalog. It is really pretty, with embroidery of trees and a waterfall on the chest. The skirt has a column of metal buttons down the front and a matching belt. It just looks lovely. Only I did not know its closure is a set of seven identical buttons in back, all of that must be open to get it on and off.
The first day I wore it, I paired it with my orange woolen turtleneck, a perfect match! I couldn't reach the buttons myself, but my husband buttoned it for me. On this really cold day, this combo kept me warm. I went out only to take the twins to school in the morning and pick them up later.
A major snowstorm came later that day. My husband called me from the airport he works at 45 minutes away to say he couldn't come home. I was now stuck at home with the children, and in my new dress!
The dress is comfortable as can be. But after nightfall, the turtleneck gave my neck a choking feeling. I wanted it off badly. But I first had to take off my jumper. I could not unbutton it myself.
I tried asking the children to unbutton it. But they couldn't. In the blizzard conditions, driving anywhere or the 2100' walk to the nearest neighbor were impossible. For 78 hours, I was confined to this dress, and the terribly uncomfortable sweater I seldom wore before.
You would guess I would hate this dress. The opposite is true. I love it so much, I bought 11 more identical dresses, each with a different embroidered design. I now wear them every day all year long, and I sleep in them too. They are perfect for the long hours I spend at home. I pair them with T-shirts in the summer and turtlenecks in the winter, just not woolen ones when I'm alone. Having my husband button and unbutton them is now a daily part of my life.

I guess I'm claustrophobic, bc that sounds awful! Iwould go crazy being stuck in a dress for that long and with a turtle neck! Ugh... you're a tougher woman than I, lol! :)
Where did you get the dress from?
Sounds like a nice outfit to wear.
cl-proudmom9903,
You are verrrrry right! This is a nice outfit to wear, so much that I wear one every day now. I just love it! These dresses make me feel sooooo happy! I weigh a lot, and they make me look thin and feel really good. Once I started wearing them, I never wanted to wear anything else, even when I sleep.
I got these dresses from the Linda Bealey company in PA. They send me catalogs, but have no website. They seem Amish. I like wearing only jumpers, and they have the best jumpers on earth. They look beautiful, cost little, and are more comfy than pajamas. They can be washed and dried in the machine, coming out perfect each time.
Just get ready. You need someone to help you dress and undress. The buttons in back are military style, and take a strong hand, like my hubby's. He helps me change every morning. Most jumpers I got there before had back zippers. I can do those myself. Now I am wearing the dresses of my dreams.
