This is my first post, hope you Enjoy.
My kid is 14 years old , and in highschool, he has an extremely bad Sweating problem, not that he doesn't shower, he does twice a day, but he sweats SO much, an hour into the school day , his sweat has soaked through his pants and the marks it leaves on the seat is embarassing. We have tried about 11 different anti perspirents, and rubbing alchohaul, nothing has worked, does anyone else have this problem with their child?

First let me say that I have been noticing with my older ds that he sweats quite a bit during sporting events, now granted he is going to do this because he is very active but I have recently noticed that he has a slight body oder...he is only 7 so this really worries me so I am setting an appointment with his pediatrician.
I know there is a condition called hyperhydrosis(sp?) this sounds like what your ds has. I have heard that they are using botox treatments with great success on people with this. I beleive it involves a shot of botox under each arm and this paralyzes the sweat glands...I think it is suppossed to work for up to 4 months. I am not sure of the cost. I know there is also a surgery to help with this condition. I would defenitely call his pediatrician and try to help his condition...I cannot imagine on top of all the other stuff you go through as a teenager to have this as well! I hope you can help him get a solution soon!
