Teachers gifts?

I don't know if anyone has posted about this yet. What, if anything, do you get your kids' teachers as xmas or holiday gifts? DD has 1 teacher, ds has 2 preschool teachers and 3 therapists, and baby ds has 2 therapists. I'm getting each of them a $15 gift card to Walmart or Target. Do you think this is a good idea? Is it enough $ to spend? It sure has added up, let me tell you! LOL

TIA,
Chrissy

What happened to just a shiny, red apple? LOL Just kidding. I have my previous sitter that I am planning on buying a gift for but I'm not even sure what to get. I was thinking a gift card to somewhere like Cold Stone Creamery (ice cream shop). I love the idea about the altoids tin. That would be perfect. I also think $10-15 would be a perfect amount, especially since you have so many people to buy for.

Good luck!

Well I can't afford much since I decided to become a SAHM, so we are giving my daughters mothers day out teacher a fun pair of Christmas Socks and some homemade goodies. We are also going to get our pediatric group a plate of the homemade goodies we know they will enjoy munching on them thru the day. Have a Great Holiday

I know that my sister, the elementary school teacher, always prefers the gift cards to the sweets.

I make cookies, fudge or something else home baked...so much cheaper ! I give small batches to teachers, neighbors, the mailman and this year, co-workers.

It sounds very genrous to me, I am sure they will be thrilled with that. Money is tight here so ds has made some home made fudge in different shapes and is going to put a few pieces in a bag with a ribbon or tinsel round it to give to his teachers.
