You ladies are all so wonderful, thank you for all of your input, it just helps to know what everyone else did and how they did it.
I am still a good year away from the ttc time. We plan on ttc sometime around June of next year. It still gives us time to do some more crazy things before nine months of no difficult activity. We love to rock climb, and I would still like to run the marathon here in town next year in February so I joined the gym and am running like crazy to get up to speed. I am a left brained person and am very planned about everything, but I have come to terms with the fact that maybe I am just a bit unreal about all of my expectations..I am learning to be thankful for all the hard work that it took to pay off all of my debts..but I realize that there is just no way I can pay off my mortgage before I have kids, just not realistic. Unless of course I want to wait another 10 years, but I don't.
And as for my dear mom and dad, it just kills them that dh and I are waiting so long to have kids, they really want to be grandparents..so maybe they won't be as upset about me putting my career on hold for awhile. I am very glad about waiting to have kids though, it has been really good for my marriage and has given us time to grow. All of my college friends are just now getting married and I have been encouraging all of them to wait a few years before having kids, they all agree that it is a wise decision. Thank you again-Alicia
