hi all, i've been a sahm for almost 3 years to my beautiful little dd. i love her so much and am happy that i'm able to stay at home with her but sometimes i need to do things to take my mind off just kid stuff. i do mystery shopping but also love home improvement stuff and would love to try to do something for some extra money. has anyone ever looked into or worked with purchasing foreclosed homes, revamping them and then reselling? i know people do it and can make money with it but i don't want to be scammed nor do i want to get myself into something that's too difficult for me to follow through on. just looking to do something else while at home. any help or suggestions is appreciated.

TIA

That sounds like a lot of work.........you should do some research and heavy thinking before you get caught up in that.

Hi there!

I completely understand you, girl! I know that staying at home with my kids is best, and while I LOVE it and wouldn't trade a second of my time with my sweet little girl (and second girl on the way!), I NEED "adult" conversation too! And it's sure not easy being a sahm financially. I recently became an independent consultant with Southern Living at Home. Now I get a night out every week, "girl time" doing home parties, and I get paid for it! I LOVE the company, the products, the mission, etc. And I'm not at all a pushy, sales-person type. (believe me!!) I love it too, because I set my own hours - so I'm always readily available for play time or vacations. (My family is first!)Because the company is relatively new (3 years - but under Southern Living/Southern Progress Corp., which is very old), and because it's the fastest growing home party company in history, it's still the "ground floor" level. Let me know if you'd like more info, and check out my website:

I haven't heard about purchasing foreclosed homes ... I wonder if contacting a Real Estate place could be helpful in that? Best of luck finding what's perfect (and profitable!) for YOU and your family!!

Many blessings,

sarah

Have you ever thought about a home-based business? It's something that you can do around your schedule, or your kids schedule. I have a 10 month old and I started a home-based business to bring in some extra income. I love it!

Here are the basics of what I do: I switched stores....basically I shop with a different store (similar to a wholesale club) and get safe, non-toxic household products. (Did you know that commonly used personal care products (i.e. baby shampoo) contain formaldehyde??) They actually cost me less than shopping at the grocery store or wal-mart! I get them delivered to my door, which saves me a trip to a store with my little one - BIG BONUS! Plus, this company actually pays me to advertise their products. I get paid for telling others about these wonderful products.

It's very similar to if I saw a movie that I loved, I would tell everyone I knew to go see it. Well, this would be like the theater paying me to tell people to see the movie. But, they don't! :(

This company doesn't pay for advertising in the traditional way, they use that money to make better products. So, they pay people like me to do advertising for them. It's not an MLM, it's MUCH better!

We also all work as a team, helping each other reach success. I have a personal mentor who works very closely with me, plus there's an entire support team of successful people. They also gave me a free website and all of the training is completely free.

If you're interested you can email me for some more details. My email is jencip325@yahoo.com.

Good Luck and I hope you find what you're looking for!
