Okay, not literally. My kids are driving me nuts today. They have all this energy but won't go outside to expend it. They are being rambuctious (sp?) and loud and I've had enough of it. I made them put shoes on and go outside. Gave them a long list of things they can do outside so they have many choices. Do any of you have this trouble with your older kids? Getting them to play and stay outside? My son will be back in maybe 10 minutes. LOL That is a guess, maybe 15, maybe 5 minutes. Soon though. He will tell me there is nothing to do outside. He's a TV watcher and would rather veg in front of the TV. We had our cable turned off because of him. Other parents aren't like us and will let thier kids stay on to watch TV all day. So mine don't have anyone to play with. My kids are always the only ones in the neighborhood that actually play outside for any length of time. Same thing in our old neighborhood. None of their friends will come out to play with them. I won't let them play in a friends house cause if they do that they are defeating the purpose I sent them out anyway.

My kids would stay out side from sun up to sun down if I would let them!

There are a ton of kids in our neighborhood that play outside all the time, mine included!~We are so lucky to live next to a school so the kids kind of congregate over there and all play together. They are a good bunch of kids and pretty responsible so that makes it alot easier!I have a hard time getting them in some nights!~Hilary~

It is what it is.Know that to be true.

I have to beg my son to come indoors for awhile. Even when it is insanely hot outside. I love the fact he would rather be outside than indoors. I just would like for him to take a break every now and then. I have also noticed other kids don't seem to play outside anymore. They're into all the techno stuff now days. I think parents should try and balance out playtime in and outside.
