we thought they would've done surgery by now, but it is *officially* scheduled for 2pm tomorrow
His shunt is functioning at 12%, so at least some fluid is actually draining... otherwise he would have been rushed into surgery already. Technology has changed so much in the last 20 years, and they now have programmable shunts that they can control externally instead of having to constantly do shunt revisions if they don't drain the proper amount. I have no doubts that he will come through this with flying colors. He has such an amazing attitude (which is pretty typical of him b/c that's just who he is).
Thank you everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers... I'll update Andrea after the surgery so she can pass on the info to you

Still praying for all of you. It is in His hands now, and will be o.k. I pray for your continued strength, Kyle's amazing attitude, the dr.'s knowledge, talents and abilities, the nurses care and also that your children stay safe, happy and healthy while in other people's loving care. My heart goes out to all of you - such a difficult time for all. I truly wish there was more that I could do.
Much love and hugs,
Wendy
