A true coffee break.

Alright, not coffee it's a Sunkist but I'm taking a break. I have removed wallpaper from my large kitchen and my daughters bathroom. It has taken a while due to the fact that my children all got the flu a few weeks ago and that put a halt to my work. But I got the last of it off the kitchen walls today under the cabinets and and I have a fresh, blank slate to start with and I love the idea of that. Did I mention that I have a lot of painting to do now? I do. My prioriy is to finish my daughters bathroom and get them back in there. I hate sharing with them. They are messy when it comes to the toothpaste. Ick. LOL

Just reading that made me tired! I HATE wallpaper so much, lol. I don't like to paint either. We paid extra to have some of the rooms painted colors when we built the house. It was so worth it! Good luck finishing the job!

I HATE wallpaper too. Which is why it's gone. When we moved in it was up and I vowed it would come down some day. I love to paint and do that sort of thing. It's right up my alley. I am gonna try to talk my dh into tiling the backsplash instead of paint it. Me tile it, I just gotta convince him that it would be worth it. It's not a lot and I know I could do it. I want to do it. Hopefully I can.

I never minded wallpaper until we bought a house a few years ago that had wallpaper in nearly EVERY room..
Oh don't feel guilty. I did that yesterday. NOTHING! With al this hanging over my head. I've been dreading moving the stove which is why I put it off the whole week. Once I got started it was easy to finish it up.
I talked to my dh about tiling the backsplash and he agreed! That was easy! LOL So, I already know the color and I can order it online and pick it up at Lowe's. Yay! Yay!
Oh I know about those white walls. We lived in enough apartments too. This is our 2nd home, we lived in our first for 8 years almost. Growing up we always loved in rentals or military housing so I love being able to paint my walls the color I want them.
