Trying to go organic.

Tonight I bought some organic butter, sour cream and yogurt. I already bought some organic milk the other day. The kids love this milk btw, it does taste better. It's hard to go organic since things cost so much more. Basically it will our meat and dairy we will go all organic on. We are really disturbed by the products they pump into the animals we eat. I bought a chicken the other day that had no antibiotics injected into, no hormones and was vegtable fed. It didn't taste any different. It just costs twice as much as a regular package of chicken. I happen to get it cause it was marked down for a quick sale, I cooked it that night. I hope we can do this, I will have to buy stratigically. Cheeses will be hard since the girls love to eat American cheese as a snack sometimes.

I don't really pay much attention to what I buy, as far as if its organic or not, I think b/c its costly I don't buy it.

Us too Kelly. I usually ignored all that but looking at my kids and having my children need deoderant at the ages of 5 and 7 (that is when we noticed a need for it)and seeing my girls have little mini boobies already has me really disturbed and everything I read or when i talk to friends about it all point to the hormones and stuff they are feeding the cattle and livestock we eat on a daily basis. We have been trying to do this for about a year now. Because of pirces we hadn't been able to go further. Which is why right now we have decided to just do dairy products and meat. I may not be able to buy it all the time but at least we will be eating less of the regular type products.

I'd say 90-95% of our food here is organic or natural.

Chrissy, have you seen Fast Food Nation? Watch that and then you will really be turned off. I think Natalie will go vegetarian if I'm not careful. LOL The kids saw it yesterday and are totally with us on this. But it's not not going to be easy. I did catch a break today. Wall-Mart had my organic milk 2 for 6 bucks. It's usually almost 4 bucks for just a half gallon.
