Ok SO the first week of this show was fine... I in fact thought it was really intense and I loved it...

Then this week... Still a great show but here are a fwew of my issues and if anyone can resolve them for me I would appreciate it.

The Book of Maccabees is in the Catholic Bible. I have never even heard of this book until last night. I have always read KJV. Is this so entirely based upon Catholiscism? I know that for the most part every thing is the same but when they throw verses from books I have never heard from... The question is why arent these books in the bible... and should I be reading them?

Let me know what everyone thinks

OK, so, not that my DH is an expert, but this is what he explained to me. The book maccabee and several others were originally in the KJV, but were not considered to be works inspired by God. They were more like books written at the same time. They are part of what is called the apocrypha. He said he is considering getting a hold of them just to read and see what they say anyway. We are in a class at church learning how we got the modern English Bible, so I will ask more this weekend if I have a chance.

I wanted to thank you for your information... I just dont know what to think about the show... I was taught to believe in the Bible alone... I like the show but I dont know if I should be watching it if that makes sense. I dont know if it is teaching all the right things... I dont know.

Also I noticed your daughter was born in January. My Mackenzie was born Jan 28th. She is definately coming into her personality and its a hoot.

THanks again

I think this is just someone's interpretation of what might happen during the end of days. Kind of like the Left Behind books/movies (which I don't agree with at all). I liked the show the first week, but this week with the baby from the sea I was getting ready to shut it off. Jesus is not coming back as an infant. Matthew 24:30-31 says "At
