I've been an on again/offagain now on again sahm. I love it, i really do.My dh is driving us into the poor house. I am at a low point today, going to my kids piggy banks and counting freakin pennies so i can put money in my checking acct to cover one i wrote the other day. He is the classic champagne taste on a beer budget. He even jokes about it, but does nothing to stop it. Xmas is what, not even 6 wks away, and i have nothing saved for my kids. not to mention one whos bday is next wk. I'm sorry, I've just been sitting here crying looking at these penny rolls, and just needed to vent. I can't start working now because my mom would sit for us( free), and she just had surgery on her ankle. So her chasing around an 18mo is out of the question until at least 2nd wk of december. I'm sorry, i am just going out of my mind. Thanks for letting me vent.

well i did take away the debit that is linked to his main acct. which we pay the mrtge and cars with. I think he has a debit to another act/different bank. His explanation is, well, i'll just work some OT. That would be great, if the ot was there to work, which it hasn't been. I do have to give him credit, he does work 2jobs. his fulltime one is fire dept, and then does side work on those days off. he usually doesn't take a lunch break, but i've been telling him to stop by a friends or something for like an hour, just to get an extra hours pay. He'd rather do the job and get home to his family. so something that takes people 6hrs, he does in 4., but of course gets paid for the 4. His solution is to refinance our house, AGAIN. his dad told him not to, since our mrtge is now dble what we paid for the house 8 yrs ago. I've tried telling him we need to try to do the car loans over at a lower %, or combine the credit cards, he just loves to refi. i'm sure things will work out, it's just a bad day today. Again thanks for letting me vent

I'm so sorry! I know what your going through, what your mind is thinking. I'm in the same situation..kinda of. My DH isn't doing the spending...we just seem to be at our limits and no extra money for clothes or bdays or Christmas. I have never had to experience this and it sucks. I totally wish we would have never bought this house!! I wish I just would have moved (again) and paid rent! UGH! Total big ((((hugs)))) for you.

hello. I am sorry for your situation but have you ever thought of babysitting. I love being at home with my little boy but I could not afford not to work. I picked up 4 kids through out the week and there is my check and I have a free babysitter. I love it. My son has some one to play with all the time, I am the one to teach him and I am a first time mom so I love watching him grow up. It does get hard at times like any job and you get busier around the house and you have to worry about parents paying you but there are so many benefits to it. You can always run an add in the newspaper which is costly but you make the money back also you can put your info on cards inside of grocery stores where people advertise stuff for sell, etc. Hopefully this helps. It is not a job for everyone but hopefully it will help you in your situation.
