Do you buy a really expensive ham? Maybe a smaller ham or a less expensive one would better. Some of the box scalloped potatoes might also help bring the cost down without having you break tradition.

You might also go the the websites of the products you buy...they might have some good coupons.

OMG!!! Just yesterday at Girlscouts a Grama told me she is so sick of ham and turkey that she now makes lasangna (spelling..lol). I thought that was funny to read that this morning. Who doesnt love lasangna? Or if you dont, make some other tradition sunday dinner. My DH goes to turkey shoots often and wins turkeys all the time. We have a bunch. Wish we were neighbors....I hand them out to my friends left and right. We could never eat that many! Or maybe ask everyone to write down their favorite meal and pick from a hat. Whoever wins doesnt throw in for next holiday. That way everyone gets their favorite meal. I bet you would be surprised at the simple meals.....Good luck. Remember its the company you hold more than the food. Merry Christmas Eileen
