The Weather Is Changing

Fall is just around the corner and the weather is going to start to cool down. Fun outdoor summer activities are on the way out the door, and I'm curious about some of the indoor activities your LO's do during the winter months to stay preoccupied. Last winter Emma and I could spend most of the time playing outdoors even if it was cold. But with a newborn I don't see us playing outside even once a week. So what are some of the things your kiddos like to do indoors?

I do not like the cold and we live in Michigan so we spend a lot of the fall/winter/spring inside. Mine like playdoh which I'm not a huge fan of but it does keep them busy. We got a playschool set that is a pool and the kids love to get that out and I like that it doesn't hold a ton of water. It has a lot of little pieces though. More video games and TV time. We have a few DVD games that get them moving (like Candyland DVD) and my kids like board games. JT is content just watching me do dishes. We are going to try the library story time this winter to get out and I'm considering the playgroup at the school 1 Friday a month. Maybe he'll get to know some kids that will be in his class since we don't live in the same district where they go to school. I know how hard it was to go out at all with a newborn, or even just attempt to clear the driveway a little.
