What are your gas prices?

Gas here is reaching an all time high - reports of $3.25 to $3.50/gal. I was lucky - dh called me this a.m. and advised me to get going and get gas - quick! So I did and got some for $2.93. This is unbelievable. However, I think of all the people in the devastated areas, and thank goodness all I have to deal with is high gasoline prices. That I can live with.

Wendy,
funny you mentioned this, about 2 seconds ago, I was reading an email that was forwarded to me, about gas. It was saying that Sept 1 is Gas Strike Day, I'll copy the message...
It has been calculated that if everyone in the United States and Canada did not purchase a drop of gasoline for ONE DAY, and ALL AT THE SAME TIME, the oil companies would choke on their stockpiles. At the same time, it would hit the entire industry with a net loss of over 4.6 billion dollars which would have an ASTRONOMICAL effect on bottom lines of the oil companies.
Therefore, SEPTEMBER 1ST, has been formally declared as "Stick it up Their Behind" day and the people of these two nations should NOT BUY A SINGLE DROP of gasoline on that day.
The only way this can be done is if you forward this to as many people as you can and as quickly as you can to get the word out. Waiting on the government to step in and control the prices is not going to happen! What happened to the reduction and control in prices that the Arab Nations promised two weeks ago?
Remember one thing, not only is the price of gasoline going UP to approximately $2.00 per liter Canadian(calculate for American gallons) but there will be substancial increases in the cost of utilities and all existing and alternate home heating. Airlines are
forced to raise their prices. Trucking companies are forces to raise their prices which affects prices on everything that is shipped.
please, do your part and spread the word. Forward this to everyone you know. Mark your calendars and make SEPTEMBER 1ST a day that the citizens of the United States and Canada say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"
Last night I was watching the news talking the gas going up so I went out at 11 pm to get gass. It was $2.55 a gallon. We went to the store this morning and it was $2.79. It went up .24 cent in a 12 hour period. What a crock if you ask me!!
We are in North Myrtle Beach South Carolina in case someone doesn't know :)
Wow I just went and got gas yesterday and at Costco it was $2.61 a gallon but that is like 10 cents or more cheeper thatn normal stations. I think Safeway was like 2.77 or something.

I think this should be against the law.
