Just wondering what everyone like best about staying at home. My top three are:

1. Being able to plan the day however I like

2. Not having to worry about what kind of care they are getting

3. Seeing the bond forming between my two little dds

mine are:

1: being there for all the "firsts:" the first steps, the first words, the first temper tantrum...(NOT! lol)

2: knowing that i am #1 in both my kids hearts, and that they trust their mommy more than anyone in the world

3: just the relationship i have with my kids and the time we spend together.

4: knowing my kids in and out, knowing what they had for lunch, if they took a good nap, if they're fussy or happy, if they're getting the love they need. just knowing how their day went. when i had my dd in daycare when she was about a year old, i would pick her up and feel so disconected, like there was this big blank in my mind about her day. her teachers were great and did their best to keep me informed, but it just wasn't the same as being there. i love the fact that i know what's going on with my kids now. when dh gets home and ds is acting out, i know it's because he only took a 30 minute nap and he's tired. or if dd is having a rough day i know its because she's coming down with a bug and i know to go easy on her. just that connection is probably what i love most about staying home.

sniff sniff, i think i'm gonna cry, lol!

The first thing that comes to mind is that we don't have the absolute hecticness that a working mom must have. When making the decision to quit my job and stay home, a very big concern of mine was how I would handle getting myself and Amanda up and out to work/daycare. Then after work, daycare pickup, home, make dinner, bath, bed. I just felt that we would be cheated, I would be too exhausted from all the running around.

The second is the full time experience of watching her grow.

What I love about being a stay at home Mom:

1.I am so much closer to my son, then I would be if I were away from him all day!

2.I understand him so well, and almost always know exactly what he needs or wants!

3.I don't have a boss snapping at me etc..or have to put up with the stress of dealing with the general public at work!I've been there and done that, and it's no fun!

4.I get to be a house wife and mommy, which is what I have always wanted to do most!I love it!

5.I am not missing any of those special first moments!First time to crawl, first word etc..

I am sooo glad I can stay home with my son!!!
