It could be her teeth...Did you try offering her some more food or anything? Babies go throuigh growth spurts, I remember my son would eat SOO much one day, then the next not too much. Or maybe she likes sucking her thumb?:) Just my thoughts kate
Wasn't she a breastfed baby? Some when they get to be toddlers try and find another alternative to soothe themselves. Both of my boys for comfort would just get a little squeeze of the Che che..lol Nick still does this at night when he is tired. She might just be finding another way to soothe herself. Maybe give her a special blankie?
It certainly could be her teeth. I agree with you, that you should only feed her when she is hungry. If you get a chance to stick you finger in there without being chomped, it might save you lots of worry. Maybe it is just starting so it is a little itchy or something. Hmmmmm.....let us know if you find anything.
I think it might be a soothing thing. Some kids do this when their pacifier has been taken or something else they used to sooth themselves, like Traci said, breastfeeding.

She was a breastfed baby and I did just take away the bottle.
Hey Andrea,
I havent read the other posts yet (been a busy day)
But it could be a comfort issue, or the teeth. Keep in mind you just took her bottles away over the last week didnt you? Just a thought!
