Do you ever have a "family fun night?"

We would also play some highly competitive rounds of Uno when there were more than four people who wanted to play during lunch. It was a blast and actually pretty good for team building.

It's this: http://www.amazon.com/John-N-Hansen-Chess-4/dp/B000BNLVBS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1297347738&sr=8-1

When I worked outside the home, we had a set in the break room. We'd play it all the time during lunch. Sometimes we'd play teams, other times we'd play all for one. It got pretty crazy (as much as chess can get, anyway)!

4-way chess board, what's that?

My 6YO recently learned the rules of Uno, and it's become his favorite game. He's also quite the checkers pro, and loves to win against DH. Really, he likes any kind of card game, but Uno seems to be at the top of his list. My 3YO got the Red Rover game for Christmas, and she loves it. We play that a few times a week, just the two of us.

I have a 4-way chess board that I think will be a lot of fun once the kids learn the rules, but that's quite a ways away from happening.

We're not too much into video games. DS actually told me he doesn't like to play them and asked me not to check any more out from the library (??). The only Wii game he's interested in is Mario Kart, and that's only when we all play together.

We need to set up a regular family night on the calendar.

We don't really do anything for family night. Since I don't have much motivation to one.

We have family night, but not near as often as we should due to work schedules, sports, etc. I need to be more diligent about making sure we schedule time together. My kids are 7, 5 and 3, so the 3 year old is on my husband or my team and sometimes the boys will pair up or I'll help the 5 year old read. We love Spongebob Cranium. It's a great game! We don't follow the time rules though because it sucks the fun out of it. We play uno, or play Wii games (the local library rents them for free) or we'll do a Redbox movie. The night starts out with homemade pizza for dinner, or maybe breakfast for dinner and then games. We also have an air hockey table that my 3 year old likes to play (we pull out a step stool for her). We usually pick one activity and that's our fun night so we don't get burned out on the same things. Wii one week, board games the next, then maybe a movie. The boys love the show Wipeout so we'll make our own wipeout course with our couch cushions, etc.

Not yet, but it is definitely something we wil be doing when the kid(s) are older! I can't wait to play board games, do puzzles and fun stuff like rock band and wii sports games! ;) Although i'm sure those will be SO out of date in 6
