I am way proud of ds! He passed his test wonderfully! I hate the part at the end where the pannel of black belts goes into the back room and goes over the scores. It takes them forever!

I'm even more proud of dd#1 though, She was playing down at our elementary school with dd#2 when some older boys started harassing the 2 of them and 5 other younger children. DD#1 kept a cool head and gathered the children behind her and stood up to the boys She told them to leave the kids alone, but then they started spitting on her and her bicycle, and grabbing at her. After that they started chasing the younger kids on their pocket bikes. DD#1 & the other kids ran to our house (less than 1/2 a block) where of course dh, ds, & my dad took off after the boys (I wasn't at home, or the girls wouldn't have had permission to go to the school in the first place). After talking to the parents of the boys we decided to call the police and press charges. The boys are facing charges in juvenille court, & I really hope they get some help. Come to find out these boys are the product of abusive homes. Well now, there is a suprise.

I am so sorry your children had to go through that! I am so glad to hear you say that your family did not let them get away with it. I truly believe in the concept that it takes a village...

Unfortunately in our society these days we tend to just let children get away with things.

Good for you!!

How scary for you!

it's a shame that those kids are turning to be the classic example of their environment. Hopefully they get help, and thier parents REALLY need help as well. I hope their part in this isn't overlooked. Good for you for standing up and doing something about it.
