What would you want to learn?...

Think back...for some of us way back...Lol, just joking!

Think to when you were seven. What was your favorite subject? Was there something you really wanted to learn about?

I am putting Matt's lessons together for next year. For history I am completely writing it. We will do a year long project called "Exploring America" I will give him a date in time and a town to start in. The period will be early "America's" think pilgrims and such. Matt will get to "travel" to different towns and colony's to find out what was happening. He will be given "supplies" and currency and he will have to pick a way to travel. By canoe, horse or whatever transportation that was available. He will look at old maps, and will find ways to travel by river or land.I will throw in suprises like "today you met ___" or "Today you met a indian trbe" and he will have to research the people or indian tribes.

I would appreciate any ideas anyone had with this! Maybe if you have old colony recipes we can learn or if you know of a website that would be of instrest. I would love to hear from anyone that lives in any state were the first colony's began. If it were you as a child what would you want to learn about?

Thanks!
