Snuggling up with my sister Maria and my mom on the couch during a thunderstorm, and having my mom tell us stories so we wouldn't be scared :)

Might sound weird but right after one of my surgeries when my dad brought me a white Gund bear that he had previously told me I couldn't have.

Sitting in the living room, laughing ourselves silly every night. My family did not have alot of money, and we didn't always have enough food to go around... but man, we had fun! I had no idea how bad things were financially. My mom told me lately that she feels guilty about those years. (couldn't afford new clothes, braces, we used to get packages of food delivered to the house from charities and my mom would just cry her eyes out... etc.) But I told her I had the most fabulous childhood ever. We had a blast!! God, I''m getting all teary-eyed talking about it . It is so not the "things" you give your children, but the amount of love and laughter.

Collecting change from around the house and then walking to the icecream shop (which my dad now owns, ironically) to buy a milkshake.
