When do you do things for yourself?

I was just curious about when you do things for yourself (scrapbook, read, go on the computer, or anything else that you do like that). Do you always wait until your child is asleep? Or what? Mainly interested to hear from mom's of toddlers between 2 and 4.

Thanks in advance

Ryland is great at being independant so I can do most things while he is awake.

I usually wait util my 2yr old goes down for her nap to things, I love to scrapbook, but can't really do it when she's awake, even if I put a dvd in for her, she's too interested in wanting to get into my scrapbook stuff. She sleeps for about 2hrs, so I use that time to get caught up on reading, scrapbooks, whatever. But when I need to get cleaning done, I usually do it in the morning, when I let her watch PBS. So far it seems to work and I can get things done, unless my daughter decides to have a case of the terrible 2's!

My daughter is 4 and I have a son that is 8. When I wanted to scrapbook when she was younger, I would give her her own scrapbooking supplies (paper, stickers) and let her "scrapbook" alongside mommy. I also would make sure to get a break for some fun on a weekend when my hubby could watch them for a solid 3-4 hours (or more!) I also go to the local YMCA and take my favorite exercise class and drop the kids off at the Y's child watch area. I've been doing that since they were about 2 years old. I just sneak in as much "me" time as possible for my own sanity.
