Am I the only one who thinks it is weird that there are so many disucssion threads on iVillage that are all about moms? Are there any dads raising children around here? Or do they just plant the seed and get shoved back out the door to bring home the bacon? Stay-at-home moms, at-home moms, fit and healthy moms... this is creepy.

Well not to sound like a smart butt( but I do have my pregnancy hormones going) this is IVillage- the place for women! So I don't see what's "creepy" about it! There used to be a few dads groups, but

heh heh, well, that does explain a lot! LOL - I am still using the old Parentsoup.com moniker for this so I have the old mindset of this being about parenting as opposed to mothering. Now that I'm looking around I can see there is a lot of the Cosmo/Good Housekeeping sex kitten/baby maker/homemaker/good consumer stuff going on here... "Festive St. Patrick's Day Foods Your Kids Will Love" and "More Meaningless Home Decor Items You Don't Need But We'd Like You to Buy"-- certainly enough to drive most men away (not to mention most thinking women). Too bad as there is not much out there for dads other than the laidoffdad-type blogs. But I stand corrected and edified.

I consider myself to be a "thinking" woman...Well when I am not speaking gibberish to the store clerk because I now speak "babyish" as a second language. lol

I do not think there is much on Ivillage to interest many men. I really come here though and wish only to interact with women in my same position...not that dads aren't SAH too but I have been to so many other places on the internet that turn to crud when men are on there.
