Kids were home today for MLK Day, so I got up a bit later than usual (yay!!)
Then I spent the morning buffing up my husband's bruised ego. Michael came home kind of freaked out about what happened on his shift: He gave a girl from a car accident with a bad cut on her head morphine before he started to sew her up, and she went into anaphylactic shock. It didn't say on her chart that she was allergic to anything, so it wasn't his fault, but he felt bad. She was OK after he stabilized her. So when he got home, I spent the entire morning listening to him, making him a nice breakfast and making him feel better. LOL! Just call me "Geisha Girl". Then he went to bed (without me).
Then I did the dishes, dressed the kids, made the beds, put in a load of laundry, talked to my sister on the phone, emailed Erin and another friend, and went to Chat.
Then I chatted with you guys. I was so clueless I left Chat to go meet Matthew's bus, and forgot for a sec he was off school today and at the neighbor's house! I actually went to the front door and remembered. I would have been a fool standing out there waiting at the bus stop. I can see my neighbor driving by and yelling: "Hey Sofia!! There was no school today! Where's your kid??" LOL! Fortunately, I was only clueless for about 15 minutes and then snapped. Something is definitely wrong with me! OMG! I felt so out of touch! But it's habit. Go watch for Matthew. When he's not home at 3:45, I go watch for him. . . Kind of like Skinner's rats ringing the bell for seeds, LOL!
Then I got Michael up on 4 hours sleep. He showered, came down, and passed out on the family room couch, LOL! So I guess dinner is up to me.
The kids and I are sick, so, we have been laying low today. I did get a lot of cleaning, straightening up done. It's nice to have a down day when we don't have to leave the house and go somewhere :)
Dh took his laptop to work again today, grrr! I wouldn't have been on anyway. Mason had 2 therapies today. I have to go make dinner now, but I'll be on all night after 8:00pm central time. I have 124 dyks to read.
I pretty much laid low today. Took a nap this afternoon. Have to take Natalie in to have her blood drawn tomorrow. The dr. ordered it on Saturday and we took her, but something went wrong and she needs it done again. So this time I'm taking her to the hospital my mom works at as a phlebotomist and having her get someone to do it that is really really good at pediatric draws.
Everybody's been home today, thanks to the holiday and other factors. I can't wait for things to get back to normal around here. I'll be at full posting speed on Thursday :o)
I am here just checking in..
after chatting for 3 hours earlier, I had to get lunch for Makynna and do some house work!
I am now just taking a quick break before I finally hit the shower...
Wellllll. . . Let's see. . .
