Just curious about which hair products everyone uses.

A long time ago on the board one of our regular members Clarity (claritysblue) got me hooked on the Brilliant Brunette products and I have been addicted ever since. :)

I love the shampoo and conditioner and at 4.99 a bottle I don't feel like it is to outrageous. I also think it smells better than most of the high dollar products I have bought.

So what do you use?

I tried the Brilliant Brunette and I loved it for awhile, but then it dried my hair out...my hais is VERY thick and wavy, so I can't just use anything. I have to straighten it daily. I use Aveda products I buy at the salon I go to, and they are the best EVER, not too pricy.

Andrea, it is by John Frieda. I love it because it really does bring out the natural highlights in your hair. Just make sure to get the right kind, there is one for dark brown and one for light brown hair.

I'm with Andrea! I use Dove bath products. I just got all my hair chopped off and I bought some Bed Head Cocky paste to make it spike out. It smells so yummy I have to remind myself not to eat it, LOL!!! :)

I buy whatever is the cheapest and sometimes the Wal-Mart brand of head & shoulders. For hairspray and gel I use Aussie. I may need to consider swallowing my pride of being cheap and buy Aveda since I too have thick, wavy hair and it is VERY dry.

I use Dove everything as well. I have curly hair - not ringlet curly but if I let it air dry it's Madusa curly!! Anyway, I had it shoulder length for some time now and use a flat iron on it to make it look decent but I just got it chopped on Friday so it's just under my ear lobe length right now. The lady that cut my hair told me that I had an oily scalp and the Dove stuff has LOTS of moisturizers in it and that was aiding in keeping my scalp oily. I picked up some plain ol' Suave Daily Clarifying stuff to try out but I usually find that Suave smells like dog shampoo. I'll give it a try and see how that works.

And speaking of Clarity - what happened to that girl? I haven't seen her post for quite a bit and can't find the other board that I know she posted to.
