always ask the weirdest questions?? My daughter has beautiful auburn hair and people always come up and ask me where does she get it from? What answer are they expecting? Seriously it isnt just two or three people a day asking but at least ten to twenty depending where we go. Does anybody else get asked odd questions about their children? I dont knwo why it irritates my dh and me so much but it does. Maybe I am just weird or something- who knows???
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I don't so much get questions as I get unsolicited parenting advice EVERYWHERE. It astounds my mom the way people think they need to tell me what to do.

I know I look young - and my kids are a handful - but I am not incompetnant and why in the world would a strager think they know how to handle my kids better than me??

We always get, "who does she look like?" and we are both standing right there!

OMG can I relate!! My girls have kind of curly hair. My hair and DH's hair is thick and straight. We get "Where'd they get the curly hair from?" I tell them the cable guy. Shuts them up every time, LOL!

Then with identical twins who look almost *exactly* alike, we get: "Are they twins?" We were at a restaurant one time, girls dressed in totally matching outfits, looking like mirror images. A waitress asked us if they were twins. My DH said "No, they're not even related. Amazing how they look alike, huh?" LOL! You should *hear* the twins comments! Every where we go!!

My almost 8 year-old son has my husband's dimples. People will see him with my husband, both of them smiling and showing their dimples, and they'll ask "Where'd he get his dimples?" Matthew (DS) tells them: "From God." Now THAT really shuts them up!!

My kids look more like my DH, but my girls have my almond-shaped eyes. My 5 year-old DS is the spitting image of my husband. We still get "Who do they look like?" When we're standing right there.

:: SIGH :: I just am left speechless at times by the ignorance. . .

People are CONSTANTLY asking if my girls are twins! They are NOT - they are 3 years apart. Katie and Molly are very close in size, their hair color is identical, and their facial features are similar, but that is it. Katie's hair is short and her eyes are green, Molly's hair is long and her eyes are blue. I know, they could be fraternal..... It is really starting to bother Katie alot when people comment on her size, but for an almost 10 y/o, she really is petite. Since we're on this subject, any book recommendations, for her to read, about size?

Hugs,
Wendy

People always asked if me and my sister were twins when we were little, her eyes are blue mine are brown. We are only 13 months apart so I guess that made us look as if we were. Here is a picture of us ...
