Ohhhh Andrea!!!
Poor little Havyn! That looks so sore. I hope the swelling goes away really fast. That must be uncomftortable for her. Hope you had a good day yesterday otherwise lol.
Poor little thing.
I hope the swelling goes down soon and it does not affect her eye sight till it does.
Andrea, my dd Molly is severly allergic to mosquitoes. She got a bite on her little calf, and by the next morning, her leg was swollen, red and hot, from her knee down to her foot (her ankle was unrecognizable). I took her to the dr. and he put her on meds., marked up her leg, so he knew where it was red and swollen to and sent us home. We were supposed to be going on vacation a couple of days after that and he said, "Only if I say so. She may be in Children's Hospital by then." Yikes! She also got one on her eye when we went camping one year. Her eye swelled shut and was purple. It is just awful. I really know what you are going thru. If you haven't already, try Benadryl (this doesn't work for Molly, so she uses Zyrtec, it is stronger). Also, she finds having a cool compress very soothing. Another time we were out and covered her from head to toe. The only thing exposed was her little hands. By the time we came off the trail, her hands were swollen with bites and she couldn't move her fingers - they were that chubby. So, my SIL (who is a nurse) put her in a tub with oatmeal sprinkle in it. It truly worked. The swelling went down tremendously! I know you can't bathe her eye in oatmeal, but for future reference, give it a try. I also have my dh spray our yard with "Yard Gard" every year. It works very well. Molly did not get bitten once this past summer. It is a lot of work to keep her covered and protected, but well worth it. Let me know if you have any more questions. I hope that poor Havyn feels better soon. Molly sends her sympathy hugs and kisses!!
