Dose anyone know of any work-at-home companies? I am a single mother of going to be 4 and I am in school, but I want to spend some time with my kids, if I could work at home that would be great. thanks to all replies

Yes! I know a ton! It depends on what you want to do. Check out www.wahm.com. This is a great forum for work at home moms and the best way to find legitimate work.

It depends on what you like to do and what your skills are as well. There is a good site called Guru.com where you can list a resume and indicate the types of work you're looking for. It sends you an email when a (legitimate) employer posts a job that matches what you want. Then you can go on there and do a "proposal" which basically is just something telling them you're interested and how much you'll do it for, or that you will do it for the price they have listed.

This is where I got my first general transcription job. That is mostly the work I do.

What you probably want is something more flexible and not something you have to give set hours for. If you're a good typist you could do general transcription (or legal or medical if you have those skills or want to do a little schooling for that). Tigerfish,Mountain West Processing, Rapid Text and Wheelers (UK) all hire people for general with no experience.

You could do online tutoring with Brainfuse.com or tutor.com if you have a degree or have taken some college courses.

There are a lot of companies that hire telecommute workers as well. You can google all the companies I mentioned, but you will get the most info from the wahm forum I mentioned above.

Good luck!

I don't know what State you reside in, but I am an independent wine consultant with Wine Shop At Home. The start-up cost was very low, and there is NO reinvestment. I only do one to two wine tastings per week, so that leaves plenty of time for family. It also gives me an opportunity to get out and spend a little time with other adults. I LOVE it, and the extra income is nice.

You can check out my website if you like. www.wineshopathome.com/susanfrank
