My daughter has a yeast rash in her diaper area. We've gone through 4 tubes of antifungal cream of different strengths and she still has it, although not as bad. She's going to the dr tomorrow, but does anyone have any ideas for me? Thanks!

If it turns out to really be a yeast rash, you should concider why she is getting it. My son had that problem, and we put him on baby acidophilus and he never had a problem since. Your body has two kinds of bacteria. Good and bad. After a round of antibiotics, your good is also depleeted. and for some, it is just out of balance, not being caused by antibiotics. Acidophilus is the good bacteria. They make it in a powdered form for babies, you add it to the milk. Ask your dr. its completely safe, and I recomend it for anyone who has recently had a round of antibiotics. Good luck.

My baby used to get yeast rashes alot to the point of bleeding. What I have tried that works, is this:

Put Lotrimin (anti-fungal foot cream) in the diaper area. Also take some Milk of Magnesia and rub some of that on top of the Lotrimin and then top it off with Desitin. Apply every time you change your baby's diaper and it should go away alot quicker than normal. Also if possible, let your baby air out without a diaper on, so the rash can dry out and when you do apply the treatment, it will also heal quicker. Caution, when you are airing out your baby... you need to catch them before they pee or poop on the floor, so put a blanket or something waterproof underneath them.

Hope this helps! It's worked for us and was even advised by our pediatrician.
