OK, this is really sad. I'm a new sahm and my son is old enough to be preoccupied with tv. I love to sit him in front of it when i just need him to be quiet for a while. The sad part is that i am actually starting to get into the cartoons. It's pathetic. I actually don't want to miss WonderPets. I even sing the songs to my son. Am i the only one who has found herself watching cartoons? Just lie to me to make me feel better even if it's true.

I am a SAHM with 4 kids. My oldest is 13, youngest is 3. My friends are humming the top hits. What do I sing? The theme to Jane and the Dragon (which i secretly love to watch) or dragon tales, magic school bus, Being Ian,even all the Barney Songs.
I was even at a professional seminar and they were looking for slogans for being bold and taking chances, to be unafraid of failures, etc.: I flippantly quoted," its time to take chances, make mistakes and get messy!" I got claps and one one winked at me and said she enjoyed the wisdom of Ms. Frizzle too! (Magic School Bus).
We're not pathetic. We are interested in what interests our kids. Some parents have no idea what kids are watching. My kids and I talk about what they watch, what we like, what we agree with. It is a way to stay connected.

LOL..I'm so guilty! I love watching Franklin..LOL Not to mention Oswald. I just get tired of the same episodes everyday. Thank goodness Nina hasn't noticed!

Neither my 19 month old son or myself could make it through the morning without "Little Einsteins" and "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" on Disney.
