I have been following the "Terry Schiavo" case where they have been debating on whether or not to remove the feeding tube. Well, they removed the tube on Friday and it looks like they will not put it back in....what do you guys think about that?

I am from Tampa and we have been following the story for a decade. It really is so sad. As a mother I feel their pain! If Terri wanted to do be taken off support then they are doing the right thing. It is a shame we do not know for sure. There has been rumors for years that herhusband is the cause of her state now. As someone else said I am also praying for Gods will to prevail. I am very glad that the us supreme court did not get involved. I say this not because I agree with Micheal but because it really is not there place according to the law. The state law has jurisdiction in this type of case and it would be unconstitutional for them to rule. Our rule of law has to be protected! The florida state legislature tried to pass a law allowing the doctors to make the decision. What a nightmare for future patients. In Texas that is how it is and there was a little boy taken off support despite the families wishes. I know that we should all write down our wishes. Terri has taught us all that.

I agree about us needing to write down our wishes for the future. I don't want my parents and husband fighting over me like this. Yes I would want to be saved, but not like Terri's situation. I have talked with my husband and I said that if I ever turn out like Terri or if something horrible ever happens to me, just to let me go. He agrees and said that he would never keep me that way because not only am I in torture, but so is he.

I don't think Michael Schiavo wants to remove the feeding tube because he has moved on. I do believe that he will happily return to Terry, but if you love one was this way for over a decade wouldnt you have a little feeling like you are losing hope? I believe he also wants the best for Terry and the other lady was right, we don't tell our parents everything. Somethings we do keep to our spouses.

The thing that gets me is that when the legislation interfers with our judical system. That tells me that we don't need a judical system and we should let the legislation just take over. There is a reason why the judge ordered the feeding tube out. Reasons that we don't know about. We also need to keep in mind that there is alot going on in this case that many people don't know about.

In my opinion I think that they should just let her go. Yes if it was my husband I would not want him to go, but isn't it time for this woman to rest in piece without everyone fighting over her?
