Zander's update

We are finally back. Zander is fine and I think the circumcision was worse on Dh and I then on Zander. I made my Dh stand outside the door but I had to completely leave the area because I did not want to hear him cry. Dh says he cried for just a few minutes then took the sugar pacifier and was fine. I swear though when I held him afterwards he was looking at me in an accusing way. I felt horrible!
I am so sick though of something else coming up wrong with him! Now the urologist says he has something called hydrocyles (sp?) It is like a hernia around the testicles. It is just something to watch though but if one more person tells me something is wrong I am going to scream! He is home though and seems to be fine so I appreciate the prayers for no pain for him :)
Now I have to call the doctor and talk about his vaccinations that I put off since I did not want him to have to go thru both things in one week. I am really thinking about delaying some of his vaccines though so if anyone has any information on this I would appreciate it. I am kinda worried about giving him vaccines while he is on antibiotics.
All the major things seem to be over though and that I am soooo grateful for.

((((HUGS)))) to you & Zander, Traci!! How hard. . . I'm glad he only cried for a few minutes. I felt soooo guilty circumcising my sons, so I understand the feeling! I wasn't anywhere nearby. They took them from me in the hospital & did it, but Michael (DH) went to make sure it was done right, LOL! I guess he trusted no one but himself with something so precious. He told me they barely cried also, because he put numbing cream on them first. I hope Zander had some kind of anaesthetic. You were very brave & I'm glad it's over for him.
I will pray about the hernias. I've never heard of those. I'll ask Michael what they are. I'll also ask him about the vaccines, but he's at work right now. How long is Zander on antibiotics for? And are they for his kidneys? What kind are they? And what did his pediatrician say about it?
My prayers continue to be with your beautiful baby son!
Sofia
Thanks Sofia, they gave him a local anesthetic so hopefully that helped!
I have not had time to run this by his pediatrician. She is one of those doctors though that does not do vaccinations but she has several doctors in the office that do so if/when
I sure hope nothing else comes up and he has a healthy rest of the life.
I am not sure about the shots, is there any way to ask the dr about delaying them and if they are safe to have while on Antibiotics?
Good luck and I hope he feels better soon.
Kate
Ok right now stop what you are doing and wrap your arms around yourself.
