You have high schools with a field house? Wow..... I'd be interested to see what kind of shape their fine arts departments are in!

Something to consider, however, is the fact that there are two separate pots when it comes to funding schools - at least in my state - capital funds and operating funds. You can't dip into one to pay for another..... so, the astro turf maybe coming out of capitals funds that cannot be spent on curriculum, etc.

It's already effected many school. Some schools now teach only Spanish. I think schools might eliminate French, German, etc in favor of Chinese. Spanish will continue to be taught due to the large Spanish speaking population in the US.
