Getting excited

Despite not moving like I want to I am getting excited about going back to school. Testing results for 2010-2011 were recently released and they did very well again, even better than last year. I am also excited to have this group of students again. Not sure who my grade level partner will be. The other teacher I was going to be working with got hired in another position within our county (she is going to be in administration now). I am excited because I feel like I am really good at what I do and I feel like the increasing test scores from the last few years in my group of students really proves I know what I am doing. Anyone else getting excited to go back?

Ugh. Well here I am going really that was me 24 hours ago. I really was thrilled, then I got *the call* I am being moved to another grade ($&#@*&^&*((@!!!!!). I am seriously upset about this. I need a why. Because right now I feel like I am being dumped on. I really do not understand why. I am so sick of how my district seems to believe that the best thing for teachers is to move them about grade levels every 2 or 3 years. WHY! And there are other issues. But I am trying to remind myself it will be okay because I am good at my job and I will make this work like I always have and always will and that it has got to be easier than last time when I started a new grade level and had a new baby all at the same time.... Do I have permission to scream now?

Good for you! Isn't it funny how the enthusiasm builds as the summer passes? It seems like the optimist takes over. You begin to realize that things will be OK,

It sucks to hell and yep they love to screw with us and yes you can scream but remember how many of us are stuck out here with either sub par jobs or none at all this country is in crisis. So scream, be mad, get up set, be pissed, it does suck, now say, Thank you god for the challenge, I wont disappoint you. Then look at Kendall and it will become CLEAR why you're doing this. Sorry for the change, good luck on the new school year.

I'm dreading going back. I have an extra 5 weeks off for maternity leave but I don't want to even after that!
