FIrst, let me say that even though I'm not working in a position as a teacher, I am at a great school with wonderful kids and colleagues and once again I totally love my job. Now, financially, I'm still struggling, but I'm working on it.
Spring break has been great and I'm actually looking forward to going back to work.
Now to my off topic question. I know many of you are in relationships. I am in a new relationship with someone younger and in many ways it is already beginning to drain me. '
Yes, I know there are other boards for this, but I know you guys the best and so I'd love your opinions. This guy is doing what I call a "push-pull" thing. One minute he's pushing me away, then when I walk away, he pulls me closer.
One minute he says I dont understand him, then when I try, he says, nevermind.
One day he is all over me, the next day he sits next to me, texting on his phone. So then I pick up my phone and starting texting because well he's tuned out so I tune out.
He claims to have all these feelings, but when I demonstrate my feelings to him, he pulls away. Yet constantly tells me he loves me and cares.
The back and forth is confusing. Sometimes I feel like I'm being too sensitive and other times he makes me feel like I'm insensitive to his needs.
Did I mention he is much younger than me?? I wont say how much, but enough for me to want to say, "Skippy get your butt back to the playground cause GT dont play with kids afterschool." LOL.
He's in his 20's, I'm 41 (in fact 41 this past Wednesday) I want to be patient with him as this is all very new to both of us, but the push pull, yes no, in out, I want you, I dont, is making my head spin.
Oh and ps, I love my job, but I do need to make more and I'm going to get back on the job rollercoaster again. I was happy to be off of it, but need more dough.
