Yesterday I had an interview. Hurrah! However, I think I was old enough to be the mother of every person on the committee. I was interviewed by 4 ppl. I don't think any of them were older than 32 and I'm 49. Even the newly appointed AP was really young. Couldn't they get any older, more experienced teachers to be on the interview committee? That's never happened to me before. I hope I'm not a victim of age discrimination. Keep your fingers crossed for me.

This has been my only interview of the summer. Actually it was a second interview. However, it was in dh's district. I know I probably got the first interview as a professional courtesy since dh is an administrator (director of technology) in the district. I was really surprised to be called back for a second interview. I know I am one of 5 people in this pool. They will pick the final candidate early this week. I'll let you know what happens.

Good luck with your interview. I used to work in an ed services center when I first started teaching, as an itinerant deaf ed. teacher. I worked in NY where they are called BOCES (board of cooperative educational services). They are county wide there and they also cover many school districts. That's quite the job that you interviewed for. It sounds like a lot of responsibility. Do you think you would enjoy the position? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! Good luck!

Really I'm not sure I would enjoy it. The experience requirements are within my range and I do enjoy professional development, but the drive is an hour and five minutes on a good day and they made it clear I was expected to be in the office daily. A lot of it is also
