I emailed our union director last night about the incident with my admin last week. She emailed me back this afternoon but I haven't had the guts to read it yet. I'm waiting until DH is here to read it with me because I can't shake this feeling that I've shot myself in the foot by saying anything. I did so because one of the two building reps who are sympathetic to what's been done to me suggested that I email her; he went as far to say that he felt like it was harrassment. I don't know how this will play out. My evaluation had nothing written on it except a half-dozen "not mets" marked on it. *sigh* May cannot get here soon enough.

Don't fear the response from your union. They will support you unless there is clear reason to believe you have violated a major rule and done something indefensible.

As for your admin, you have the evaluations from the past. I'm guessing there is a clear

If you are still meeting with your admin, I would request union representation with every meeting. In my former school one could do this. In fact, there is a sped teacher there that became a scapegoat for one of her students who is bipolar and the admin was going after her with both barrels blazing. She's 60 and is terrified of losing her job so every time she met with the principal or head of sped, she had union representation.
I don't think you have to fear the union. They're there to help you. Even when they can't do anything for you, they usually don't do anything to hurt you. I've never heard of that anyway.
