Wow, that's unfortunate. I understand your feelings and why you wish the teacher had called you before taking action. However, teachers are required by law to report suspected abuse. We can be liable if the child would be injured or killed and it was discovered that we didn't report prior injuries and observations.

Thanks for the reply i am glad that the teacher was attentive enought to her students to notice my chils eye,its just upseting that cps was called on me but at least i know they are looking out for my kids i dont have anything to hide and welcome any questions they have for me or my kids and the worker did tell me she saw no wrong doing and im sure the case will be closed soon if not already

It sounds like things are working out. I would still talk with the administration, counselor and teacher to make sure everyone ends up on the same page.

HUGS! I'm sorry that you had to go through that. Teachers are required by law to report anything that could possibly indicate child abuse. It's certainly nothing personal, and I'm sure it will all get resolved very soon. It's better to have 100 false alarms than overlook 1 true case of abuse.
