My current long term sub position will be a regular vacancy in the fall and the job was posted last month. Needless to say, I applied and my interview is on Monday. I asked our union rep what the procedure is for this kind of thing and he said they interview just like for any other position and then chose who they want. I would like to think that I have an edge b/c I've been doing the job since late January but, I've been burned enough in previous positions not to take anything for granted. On the plus side, I've gotten a lot of positive feedback and my immediate supervisor is a previous media specialist and we are on the same page about what to do with the library.
I'm wondering what kinds of questions they are going to ask me. I know some districts have a script and they have to ask everyone the same thing and some are more free flowing. Of course I'll talk about all of the things that I've done so far but does anyone have any other hints for me?
