So, how did your first day back go?
We had a weather related delay.
Whoo Hoo! Extra sleep on a school day! Boy, I could use some of that right about now... :)
I can NOT believe they had delayed the tests that long! And, I am surprised that they are waiting so long for you to take the 3 hour test! I hope it turns out Ok, and that you figure out what is up with the blurry vision. Take good care of yourself, and make sure you are a PITA for the docs office (in other words, don't take any chances, ask about everything and ask often!). Ugh. I'd be frustrated beyond words.
My first two days were relatively uneventful (no crazy parental calls or emails - hope it stays that way!). Today, though, I did too much. My back was hurting and my left leg was going numb. I need to remember to take it easy. I can't do it all like I used to, ya know? I think my boss has hired a sub. YIPPEE! She has to call and confirm, and then we can sit down and plan together. Whew! Big weight off my chest. I was worried that I'd be sitting in the hospital with the new baby going over classroom management, lesson plans, and procedures with the sub. :) LOL!
I'm SO GLAD you posted! I was going to do resolutions with my 5th graders this week, and I LOVE the party hat/streamers idea! Thanks! We are implementing a program called "Go For It" at my school this year (http://www.goforitfoundation.org/), and the next lesson is on making goals. It fits great with the New Year!
I really should have posted to everyone and said, "How was your first day back?" What a great idea! Next time I will have to. The other Kristen and I have previously posted that we were pregnant and tired and could use a few more days (or weeks) off.
Again, I'm glad you posted, and hope that others will piggy back on this thread as well!!
