I really need some advice.
I'm so sorry you've been moved from something you really loved. Unfortunately, I think your best bet is to teach kindergarten. This shows that you're fexible and willing to do what is needed. Since public schools are always moving folks around, I believe they tend to look for people with experience in different grades, flexibility, and the ability to teach whatever is needed. When you interview for a public school job, you'll probably be looking for an older grade. You can take the opportunity to tell the interviewers that while you're willing to work with any age, your favorite place to be is fourth grade.
Thanks Kim for you input.
I sat down this am with my dh and we talked about it too.
I wouldn't think that you can't handle 4th just because you went back to K.
I called the principal, and talked to her on the phone. I told her my reason why I didn't want to teach k anymore.
Good luck with your job hunt. I'd start networking right now. See who knows who and who knows what about schools and districts near you. Getting an inside track on retirements, transfers and newly-created
