Thank you! It worked!!!!!! I did NOT get the job that I was really hoping for (7th grade math AND closer to home), but I did get a job at the school that I was at which I am happy about! It's Study Skills, either 6th or 7th grade.

Great news! It sounds like a pretty easy assignment.

It's a year-round thing. I would have almost all of the students in the grade level I have every day all year long. The ones I wouldn't have would either be the SPED students who are not completely mainstreamed or they are supposed to start a new program parish-wide in which it would be one class of all the students who didn't make at least 25% on the reading part of the iLEAP. A SPED inclusion teacher would have those students for one hour.

2 days each week, I will take them to CCC lab which is a computer-lab in which they do math & reading programs. The other 3 days I can structure any way I want. I can help with homework, help with a tough concept in a certain subject area or prepare for tests as the other teachers see fit, I can do character education, etc.

I would only have to write 1 lesson plan per day (or one prep as secondary teachers tend to call it..lol). I will also be in my assessment year (first year is mentor year, second year is assessment year), so I will already know one of my assessors very well. The eighth grade study skills teacher will also be in her assessment year, so we can work together.
