One of our local libraries has gigantic used book sales often and they are AWESOME. There's one coming up in a couple weeks.
But one branch has books out for sale almost everytime I go in there. Last time, I was able to get 5 of 6 editions of People & Places reference series for $1 per book plus other books. I went in today and they had the hardbacks on sale for 50¢. I spotted a World Almanac (hardback) and told Aly to get that one (she's into that kind of book, but I'm thinking teacher material...lol) and to look around while I renewed my library card.
For $4, we got A to Zoo (5th edition, 1998), which is a BIG list of children's picture book titles, another children's catalog like that but with all kinds of genres, the 2001 Almanac, a kids' U.S. Almanac, a book on galaxies, a book on big cats, on book on keeping kids off of drugs & drinking, and a book on countries/flags around the world.
